Details: Repair Center Module

The Details tab displays key information about the repair center.

The following fields are displayed on the Repair Center Details page:

  • ID/Name: Identifying fields for the repair center. The Repair Center ID field is used to uniquely identify the repair center, and is displayed throughout Maintenance Connection on Repair Center filters.

The Name field is typically more descriptive. The Repair Center ID and Name fields are both displayed in the Repair Center List.

  • Category: The category for the repair center, if applicable.

  • Supervisor: The supervisor for the repair center. The repair center supervisor can be listed as a recipient for notifications in the Rules Manager.

  • Default Stock Room: This default stock room will be used when estimated parts are defined for a procedure with no stock room specified. When the work order is generated using the procedure, the estimated parts will specify the stock room associated with the work order's designated repair center.

Stock Room is a required field for repair center records.

  • Default Tool Room: This default tool room will be used when estimated tools are defined for a procedure with no tool room specified. When the work order is generated using the procedure, the estimated tools will specify the tool room associated with the work order's designated repair center.

Tool Room is a required field for repair center records.

  • Budget / Currency: The budget associated with this repair center, which can be used for reports including the Dashboard. A Currency field is provided to list the currency used by this repair center.

  • Address/ Phone/Fax: Address and phone information for the repair center.

  • Status: A check box used to specify if the repair center is active. Clear this check box if the repair center is inactive to ensure that it does not show up in Repair Center lookups or filters. The repair center would continue to be available in the Repair Center module list.

  • Requester Can Specify in Sign Up Process: A check box used to specify whether requesters can specify this repair center in the sign-up process. If the repair center should not be available for selection, the check mark should be removed from the indicator.

  • Default Repair Center: A check box used to specify if this repair center should be used as a default on service requests when neither the requester nor asset is assigned to a repair center.

Only one repair center can be designated as the default repair center. If you indicate that a repair center should be the default repair center, this indication will be removed from any other repair center.

  • Email: An email address for the repair center which can be listed as a recipient for notifications in the Rules Manager.

  • SMS Email: The SMS Email field is used when sending text messages through a Rules Manager - Text Message action. The field should be populated with the 10-digit cell phone number and the carrier's designated SMS address.

As an example, Verizon's SMS domain is @vtext.com, so an SMS Email address for a Verizon number might appear as 4155551212@vtext.com. As another example, for AT&T, an address might be 4155551212@text.att.net.

  • Comments: A field that can be used to enter additional comments about the record. The View/Edit Text button at the top-right of the field can be used to open a larger editing area.

  • Photo: Controls to attach or remove a photo.
